The Master in Digital Market: Legal and Economic Strategies is addressed to graduates in Law and in Business Administration and Management.

Access and Entry Requirements

Entry requirements and admission criteria to enrol the Master’s Degree in Digital Market: Legal and Economic Strategies are established in compliance with the articles 16 and 17 of the Royal Decree 1393/2007, modified by the Royal Decree 861/2010:

  1. Hold an official Spanish graduate degree or a degree issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) which provides access, in the country where the degree has been issued, to a Master’s Degree.
  2. Graduates from education systems external to the EHEA will also be able to access this Master’s Degree without having to standardize their degrees. But prior verification by the UdL can be carried to ascertain those who certify having an equivalent level of training to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that grant access to postgraduate studies in the country where the degree has been issued. Having access to the Master’s Degree through this route does not imply, under no circumstances, the standardization of the former degree nor the recognition of other purposes rather than attending this Master.

Admission Criteria

The maximum number of students is 20.

The selection process of the Master in Digital Market: Legal and Economic Strategies will be carried out according to these criteria:

Applicants must hold a Degree in Law or a Degree in Business Administration and Management. If the number of applicants is higher than the number of places offered, in the selection process the following items will be assessed (in this case the curriculum vitae will be required):

a) Academic record (up to 4 points):

  • Pass......................1
  • Good.....................2
  • Excellent...............3
  • Honours................4

b) Holding other certificates and diplomas:

  • Bachelor degree
  • Official master
  • Doctorate

Focusing on the knowledge referring to Company Law and Computer Law, as well as knowledge related to the Economic Analysis of Law: from 0 to 1,5 points.

c) Work experience in the areas of legal consulting and/or economic consulting in technological aspects of the information society based on the time worked and the issue studied: from 0 to 1 point.

d) Other merits:

  • Certified language skills: from 0 to 1 point
  • Publications: from 0 to 0,5 points
  • Teaching Collaboration: from 0 to 0,5 points

e) Personal interview where the candidate can state his/her motivation to specialize in aspects related to legal and economic challenges of the digital market: from 0 to 0,5 points.

If two or more candidates obtain the same score and there is only one vacant left, the candidates will be required to take an entry exam which will consist of a series of general questions about the Spanish legal system as well as resolving a case study and its oral presentation. The candidate who obtains the highest score, resulting from the arithmetic average obtained in each test, will be chosen.

For the case of students with special learning necessities due to disabilities, the system and procedure admission will include suitable support and counselling, which will assess the necessity of possible curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies.

Admission is resolved and determined by the deanship of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Tourism.

In the event that vacancies remain, an extraordinary pre-registration period may be opened.

Enrollment and modification of enrollment can be done through the self-enrollment system or in person at the center's secretariat by requesting an appointment. Internet access will be open during the dates indicated.
